Well, in looking at our logs, the majority of the traffic is centered around that lovely lady from the Poker Run. I think it’s safe to say that NO ONE here at MandT is surprised by these findings. We strive to please our loyal readers (all 3 of you) so with that in mind, here are some lovely pictures sent in from a friend of Sorry Dog. From my understanding, these were from a competition in South Florida. 

Chances are that if you like boating enough to read this website beyond the bikini pictures then you probably like Jimmy Buffett too. Some of you may remember his song “Boat Drinks”.

The story behind that song goes something like this:

“It was February in Boston, and I was cold and wanted to go home. Rum and tonic was the antifreeze, and the newspaper was full of ads for warmer climates. I was in a place owned by Derek Sanderson, who was a very famous player for the Boston Bruins in the 70’s. I came out of the bar and couldn’t find a cab except for the one that was running in front of a nearby hotel. There was no driver in it, and I was too cold to think about the consequences. There is an old Navy expression which says, “Beg forgiveness, not permission.” I hopped in and drove the cab back to my hotel, I did leave the fare on the seat.”

With it being winter and all, I figured a great way to kick off our new “Drink of the Week” feature was with the very boat drink that Jimmy used to keep warm before he stole a cab and shot at his freezer. Sounds like a hell of a drink to me.

Ingredients:

• 2 ounces of Spiced Rum (we at MandT are big fans of Captain Morgan’s)
• A splash of Tonic Water
• Lime

To make:
Add the Rum to a glass with ice, splash in the tonic water then rim the glass with the lime. The grand theft auto and freezercide is an optional but fun addition to the drink.

Once again Fast Freddy, who is rapidly earning the nickname of “dirty old bastard”, elected himself as the reporter of something to do with women in bikinis. In this case it was the Fireman’s Poker Run. Get this: a bunch of guys with fast cigarette boats drive down the St. John’s River as fast as they can. They’ve each got a bikini model riding with them as they collect playing cards at 5 different check points. What they win for it I have no idea. As far as I’m concerned the fact that they get a bikini model that rides with them is reward enough.

Tell you what, if I don’t get to go on the next bikini related photo shoot you can start updating your own damn website…
